14. Depression Management in Islam

▶️ Problem: Habitual sinners

▶️ Solution: Sincere Repentance

📍 Some people are habitual sinners; they commit sins, feel the remorse in their heart, but due to weak personality they again tempted to sin. When this attitude becomes a routine then it will become difficult to become sincere.

Many people just leave the hope of becoming pious; when they look on to their past life they find accumulation of huge sins which give them a feeling that their situation cannot be corrected.

For such people Allah give them a glad tiding that if they repent sincerely then all their previous sins will be pardoned by Him

📍 What’s expected from us is:

Develop a feeling of deep regret over previous life

Complete abstain from the sins

Do Sincere repentance (Taubath un Nasooh)

Make a strong determination to keep oneself on right path

Keep good companionship

Start doing more good deeds as they will compensate their wrong ones.

✅Fasting in Ramadan, hajj & Umra are few of the good deeds which clean us from all our previous sins

Quran says

Believers, turn to Allah in sincere repentance; maybe your Lord will expunge your evil deeds and admit you to the Gardens beneath which rivers flow.
