🟢 20 Types of Hearts in Quran Series – Part 5🟢

📍 Blind Hearts: Some hearts who travel extensively around the globe, they came across many valuable signs which can guide them to the truth, highlight the fallacies of the crooked people who tried deviated theories and failed miserably; histories of nations have testimonies that lot of powerful men who were terror of their time has seldom any followers.

If someone is so busy that he has no time to ponder on the facts of life then his life is purposeless; but if someone after experiencing and analyzing the facts try to ignore and deny the same then these are termed as “Blind hearts”. The words “blinded are the hearts” have been used in the metaphorical and not in the literal sense. Since the heart is regarded as the center of emotions, feelings and of mental and moral qualities, these words have been used to imply that their obduracy has inhibited them from feeling and acting rationally..

Ibn Abi Ad-Dunya said in his book At-Tafakkur wal-I`tibar, "Some of the wise people said, Give life to your heart with lessons, illuminate it with thought, kill it with asceticism, strengthen it with certain faith, remind it of its mortality, make it aware of the calamities of this world, warn it of the disasters that life may bring, show it how things may suddenly change with the passing of days, tell it the stories of the people of the past, and remind it what happened to those who came before."'

Walk through their ruins, see what they did and what became of them, meaning, look at the punishments and divine wrath that struck the nations of the past who belied, (Ibn Katheer)

Have they not journeyed in the land that their hearts might understand, and their ears might listen? For indeed it is not the eyes that are blinded; it is rather the hearts in the breasts that are rendered blind. (22:46)

📍 Bitter Hearts: Few hearts among the people do believe in god but in plurality. Some believe in one form of the god and others in another. When the discussion about divinity takes place and their gods are mentioned they felt happy and rejoice it. But when name of only ONE Almighty is taken (Which is everyone Lord) they feel uneasiness and bitterness in their hearts

This evil is common to almost all polytheistic people of the world, and even some unfortunate Muslims also suffer from it, They profess with the tongue that they believe in Allah, but when One Allah alone is mentioned before them, their faces arc distorted, and they say, "This man certainly does not believe in the saints and holy men; that is why he talks of Allah and Allah alone. " And if others besides Allah arc mentioned, they are delighted, and their faces brighten up with joy. Their this attitude shows as to who is the actual object of their love and esteem. 'Allama Alusi, in his commentary Ruh al-Ma ani, has related his own experience here. He says: "One day I saw that a man was invoking the help of a dead saint in his affliction. I said; O bondsman of Allah, invoke Allah, for He Himself says: 'If My servants ask you, O Prophet, concerning Me, tell them I am quite near to them. I hear and answer the prayer of the supplicant when he calls to Me," (AI-Baqarah: 186), Hearing this the man became angry, the people told me afterwards that he said: This man is a denier of the saints; and some others heard him also say: The saints answer the prayers more promptly than does Allah." (Tafheem ul Quran)

When Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter contract with bitterness, but when deities apart from Allah are mentioned, they are filled with joy. (39:45)

📍 Mighty Hearts: When people with scanty knowledge, dubious mind, without authentic studies argue in serious matters with prejudices. They seldom give respect to decent debates and scientific arguments. Such people use their positions to prove their points and cross the limits and boundaries of decency. They are termed as Mighty hearts who qualifies themselves to be denied of all guidance from the Almighty.

"Allah allows only those people to go astray who possess the following three qualities: (1) They transgress all limits in their evildoing. and then develop such a taste for it that they do not feel inclined to accept any invitation to reform their morals (2) their permanent attitude in respect of the Prophets is characterised by doubt and suspicion. The Prophets of God may bring any clear Signs before them, yet they doubt their Prophethood as well as view with suspicion those truths which they present with regard to Tauhid and the Hereafter; and 131 they try to resist the Revelations of the Book of Allah with crooked arguments instead of considering them rationally, and these objections are neither based on any sound reason nor on the authority of a revealed Book, but from the beginning to the end their only basis is obstinacy and stubbornness. When a group of the people develops these three evils, Allah hurls it into the deep pit of Hell-fire wherefrom no power can then rescue them. (Tafheem ul Quran)  That is, 'The seal is not set on the heart of anybody without a reason. This seal of curse is set only on the heart of the one who is filled with arrogance and spirit of violence and tyranny."

those who contend regarding Allah's Signs without any evidence that might have come to them. That is exceedingly loathsome to Allah and to those that believe. Thus does Allah seal the heart of everyone who is proud and high-handed. (40:35)

📍 Proud Hearts: Pride and absolute greatness is suitable to the Almighty Creator; when humans try to compete in this sphere they are certainly doomed to be destroyed. We have been warned to be clear of our position in this world. We have been send here as Abdullah and Khalifat ullah (servant of God and vicegerent) . The sooner we understand the better our future is.

Some people when they get fame, power, richness, strength etc they feel they are superior to others and start feeling pride in their hearts.

'He who has an atom's weight of Arrogance in his heart will not enter Paradise.’ Muslim

Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said: Pride is my cloak and greatness My robe, and he who competes with Me in respect of either of them I shall cast into Hell-fire.
