Burning of Quran in Sweden and freedom of speech.

 Question: If the Satan worshippers complain that Muslims curse Satan, will you accept those Muslims to be arrested? This question is asked under context of burning of Quran in Sweden and freedom of speech.

Answer:  Please note that neither we worship Devil (Satan) nor we feel offended when someone worship the devil. Whenever we read Quran or do prayers we seeks refuge from Satan.

فَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ الْقُرْآنَ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ - 16:98

So when you recite the Qur'an, [first] seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the expelled [from His mercy].

Whereas we believe that he (Devil / Satan)  has no authority to harm us physically

إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَهُ سُلْطَانٌ عَلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ - 16:99

Indeed, there is for him (Devil / Satan) no authority over those who have believed and rely upon their Lord.

However if you or someone else worship the satan and try to please him, we will try to admonish them by asking not to follow devilish path. If you insist on following them then we say

لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ ‎﴿٦﴾ 

To you is your religion, and to me, my religion. (109:6)

At the same time we as a muslims as been asked not to disregard or abuse the deities of other religion.

وَلَا تَسُبُّوا الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا اللَّهَ عَدْوًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِم مَّرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ ‎﴿١٠٨﴾

Do not revile those whom they invoke other than Allah, because they will revile Allah in ignorance out of spite. For We have indeed made the deeds of every people seem fair to them. Tlen, their return is to their Lord and He will inform them of what they have done.6:108.

Hope you find a rationale in our arguments; we are strong in our belief but at the same time we do respect the others belief and don’t disregard it in the name of freedom of speech.

The concept of freedom of speech is praiseworthy, lets not let people use it to hurt the sentiments of other.
