There are many Key factors that contribute to success in a
leadership role, few of them are mentioned here:
Trust: Keeping the trust of all the stakeholders is very
important in success. Some time we make mistakes, other time we are behind
targets and schedule; its all part of life and business but in tougher time
ensure that the trust should not be breached. Once a trust is broken then it is
extremely hard to repair it.
Teamwork: Give relative importance to all the team members
who are contributing to help you in keeping up the leadership role. Once the
leader thinks that he can deliver the outcomes without any ones support then
the team contribution starts to decline. Keeping the morale high among your
team is of high importance.
Inspiration: A leader should be a source of inspiration. One
who looks for safe corner for themselves cannot become leader. Followers want
to see a leader among the masses who walk his talks especially in the hour of
crises.
Good listener: He should develop good ear for listening to
the environment around him. People should be encouraged to give suggestions,
criticize what they feel wrong, and they should feel the security for doing the
above.
Analytical skills: very often leader comes across many
problems; he should not stereotype the issues but should keen observe the cause
and its effects, seek alternatives, consult the experts and reach to a decision
in a fair and suitable manner.
