16. Forgiveness (Magfirath)

We should seek forgiveness from Allah in this month of Ramadan specially the second part of which is said to be the part of Magfirath as told by prophet Mohammed PBUH. As Seeking Magfirath has many advantages.

• ·         Expiation of our sins
• ·         Opening of Door of barakah
• ·         Increasing of our strength
• ·         Attainment of will of Allah

َيَا قَوْمِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِكُمْ وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوْا مُجْرِمِينَ ﴿٥٢﴾

اور اے میری قوم کے لوگو، اپنے رب سے معافی چاہو، پھر اس کی طرف پلٹو، وہ تم پر آسمان کے دہانے کھول دے گا اور تمہاری موجودہ قوت پر مزید قوت کا اضافہ کرے گا مجرموں کی طرح منہ نہ پھیرو"

•       My people! Ask your Lord for forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance. He will shower abundant rains upon you from the heaven and will add strength to your strength. Do not turn away as those given to guilt.'

SAYYIDUL ISTIGHFAR

Syed-ul-Istighfar. Is a powerful dua for forgiveness you should be using daily. In Al-Bukhari it is said whoever makes that dua with firm belief and dies on the same day (before evening) will be one of the dwellers in Jannah. 

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ رَبِّيْ ، لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِيْ وَاَنَا عَبْدُكَ ، وَاَنَا عَلَی عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ ، اَبُوْءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ ، وَ اَبُوْءُ بِذَنْبِي ، فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ ، فَاِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ

•       O Allah! You are my Rabb. There is no true god except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favors that You have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon

‏‏‏‏‏‏May Allah forgive our sins and provide us Magfirath and Jannah. Aameen
