21. Lailatul Qadr

Quran was revealed in the night of Decree (Qadr) praying in which has rewards of more than thousand months, as mentioned in Quran:

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ ‎﴿١﴾‏ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ ‎﴿٢﴾‏ لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ ‎﴿٣﴾‏ تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ ‎﴿٤﴾‏ سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ ‎﴿٥﴾‏

Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. (1) And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? (2) The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. (3) The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. (4) Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. (97:5)

Prophet Mohammed PBUH has given glad tiding to those who sincerely pray in this night that all their previous sins will be forgiven.

‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ قَامَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ،

ابوہریرہ ؓ نے کہ  رسول اللہ  ﷺ  نے فرمایا کہ جو کوئی شب قدر میں ایمان کے ساتھ اور حصول ثواب کی نیت سے عبادت میں کھڑا ہو اس کے تمام اگلے گناہ بخش دیئے جائیں گے

•       Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven;.“ (Bukhari)

Prophet Mohammed PBUH has told us to search this night in odd nights of last part of Ramadan.

عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم :  تحروا ليلة القدر في الوتر من العشر الأواخر من رمضان  . رواه البخاري

ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ ؓ راوی ہیں کہ رسول کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا  شب قدر کو رمضان کے آخری عشرہ کی طاق راتوں میں تلاش کرو۔ (بخاری)
