History of Palestine

 History of Palestine

The concept of Promised land goes back to 4000+ years. It was promised by Lord to Prophet Ibrahim that Holy land will be given to your descendants.

The promise was first made to Abraham (Genesis 15:18-21),

then confirmed to his son Isaac (Genesis 26:3),

and then to Isaac's son Jacob (Genesis 28:13),

The Promised Land was described in terms of the territory from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates river (Exodus 23:31).

On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the Wadi[a] of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates— the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.” Genesis 15:18-21

As evident in that promise, the following things are to be noted

  • The land promised was to descendent of Abraham. Both Ismael and Israel
  • It was specifically related to those time and tribes mentioned in Old testament
  • Bani Israel refused to fight and win that land
  • During the time of David and Solomon this promised land was successfully achieved.

Eventually Jews entered the holy land during post Moses (PBUH) period and instead of making one united kingdom they got divided into 12 smaller tribe nations

Jews entered Palestine in 1400 BC. Genocides existing tribes and settled there.

They lived there for 350+ years. They peaked during Prophets David and Solomon (PBUH)

After the death of Solomon his kingdom got divided in his two sons jeroboam and Rehoboam.

The northern Kingdom of Israel was destroyed by Assyrian in around 722 BC. And Southern kingdom was Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC.

The grand first temple of Solomon was destroyed by them.

Israelis were scattered around the globe and they lost their 10 out of 12 tribes which are known as lost 10 tribes.

Later on Babylon Empire declined and in 539 Bc Cyrus (Persian King) captured Babylon Allowed Jews to Return to Palestine. Solomon Temple was rebuild for the second time Under Joshua (AS) in 522 BC. Darius I was the fourth king of the Persian Achaemenid Empire. Sheshbazzar, prince of Judah, was appointed governor

Few centuries later Jews again started to decline and came under Greek persecution of Antiochus, who did everything to Jews what Spanish did to Muslims in spain during 1500s and what Hindus are doing to Indian muslims presently.

When Jesus (PBUH) was sent during the reign of Herod Antipas, He Murdred John the Baptist and became fully against Jesus. Which resulted in Crucifixion of Jesus as per Christians and taken into heaven and to be sent again as per Muslims.

Jesus warned them when great number of people followed Him, including women who kept mourning and wailing for him. But Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29Look, the days are coming when people will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore, and breasts that never nursed.’…Luke.23 Verses 29 & 30

Few years after Jesus, when Jews rebelled against Romans; they were seiged. The siege ended on August 30, 70 CE[3] with the burning and destruction of its Second Temple. The conquest of the city was complete on September 8, 70 CE.

1.1 million people were killed during the siege, of which a majority were Jewish. 97,000, thousands were forced to become gladiators and eventually expired in the arena. Many others were forced to assist in the building of the Forum of Peace and the Colosseum. Those under 17 years of age were sold into servitude

They were again expelled from the Palestine and were wandering till 1948 through out the world without a nation.

Jerusalem was conquered by Muslims during Period of Caliph Omer RA

and from then till 20th century, Palestine was part of Muslim kingdom except a brief period of century when Crusaders took over the Palestine by slaughtering muslims in 11th century. Which was taken back by Salahudding Ayyubi on October 2, 1187.

Jews thorough out the world were persecuted harshly by Christian world to avenge the treatment they did to Jesus.

World Zionist Organization was formed in 1897 with an aim of establishing Jews nation in Palestine. They heavily funded the warring nations in first world war and in return asked them to allot Palestine to them.

Later on after the first world war, British Government made Balfour declaration in 1917 giving permission for Jews settlement in Palestine.

Even in 1920’s the settlements of Jews were very few when compared to local Palestinians.

But in the next 3 decades slowly many Muslims towns and villages were systematically attacked, captured and ethnically cleansed by Jews thus by establishing their Israel.

Later on in 1947 UN partitioned the country but Israel kept on capturing the lands thus by cornering the natives into two smaller blocks of Gaza and west bank.

To summarize the events of Palestine

  • Jews Genocide the locals and entered Palestine in 1300 BC
  • They lived in northern Israel for 500+ years (1300 – 722 BC) & 800 years in southern Israel. (1300 – 587 BC)
  • Local Arabs are living there since 3500 years.
  • Muslims has not destroyed any temple to build mosques.
  • Jews wandered throughout the world and were persecuted by Christians and Polytheists
  • Muslims has always supported the jews more than any other nations in the world.
  • Jews lived there best life under Muslim rule
  • Europeans destroyed ottoman Empire and created Israel
  • Israel took up most of the land and displaced Arabs

Now they want to destroy the Third Holiest place for mUslim called Aqsa compound

and plan to build their grand third temple of Solomon.

In Today’s Biased world the right perspective of the History should be brought before the young generations.

True and Just solution to be found for Palestine which can bring peace to the Humanity.
