The Good land and the Waste land

•           وَالۡبَلَدُ الطَّيِّبُ يَخۡرُجُ نَبَاتُهٗ بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّهٖ ‌ۚ وَالَّذِىۡ خَبُثَ لَا يَخۡرُجُ اِلَّا نَكِدًا ‌ؕ كَذٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الۡاٰيٰتِ لِقَوۡمٍ يَّشۡكُرُوۡنَ  ۞

•           جو زمین اچھی ہوتی ہے وہ اپنے رب کے حکم سے خوب پھل پھول لاتی ہے اور جو زمین خراب ہوتی ہے ا س سے ناقص پیداوار کے سوا کچھ نہیں نکلتا اس طرح ہم نشانیوں کو بار بار پیش کرتے ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو شکر گزار ہونے والے ہیں

•      As for the good land, vegetation comes forth in abundance by the command of its Lord, whereas from the bad land, only poor vegetation comes forth. Thus do We expound Our signs in diverse ways for a people who are grateful. [7:58]

 

A good heart is compared with fertile soil, while bad heart as barren soil.

Good soil is soft and easy, while bad soil is hard and narrow. A good heart conceives pure intentions, and when it comes to action, it bears fruit with different flavors.

The grace of Allah is equally abundant everywhere, but if the natural ability of the earth is good, it will rise like a garden, and the land which losts its natural ability will only grow weeds.

Nakhad means rubbish and vile things.

The mercy of the Qur'an is also the same for everyone. The grateful servants benefit from the Qur'an, soon after guidance came they become good for themselves and others. On the contrary, evil people receive the shower of mercy and vomit hidden doubts and poison inside them which is harmful for both themselves and others.

With the example of rain, Allah is clarifying these things: Tawheed, Resurrection, the sending of the Messenger, Sunnah of Allah in guidance.

 Word "تصرف" means to circulate. By the circulation of winds in the universe, Allah's power does many things. In the same way, when the verses of the Qur'an circulate before human, life changes. People should thank Allah for this. The rain revives the dead earth, the word of Allah revives man, so we must have a grateful شكر heart, and the plant of شكر grows in a pure heart.

It is mentioned in the hadith that the Propheﷺ says, "The example of the  knowledge Allah sent with me is: when it rains, a fertile land grows good plants, other land withholds water and people use that water, Other land is flat which does not hold back or grow green.So whoever gets the understanding of religion, let him learn and teach others. Bukhari, Muslim

In this hadith it is derived, Qur'an: as rain, Fuqha: as fertile land, Muhaddith: as land that collects water , Kuffar munaafiq: as flat land. Ibn Kathir

In every era, after the Prophet's mission, humanity was divided into two parts, the evil ones were cast by this criterion just like goldsmith casts gold and silver.

Man came into the world as a believer, because he forgets his lesson again and again, he was given the opportunity to repent to be grateful.

اچھے دل کو زرخیز مٹی ، صالح زمین سے مشابہت دی گئی برے دل کو بیکار مٹی بنجر زمین۔

اچھی زمین نرم آسان ہوتی ہے بری زمین سخت اور تنگ ہوتی ہے۔ اچھا دل پاکیزہ عزائم تصّور کرتا ہے جب عمل کی باری آتی ہے تو مختلف ذائقوں سے پھل دیتا ہے۔

اللہ کا ابر کرم خشک و تر ہر جگہ یکساں برستہ ہے لیکن زمین کی فطری صلاحیت اچھی ہو تو چمن کی طرح لہلہا اٹھیگی، جو فطری صلاحیت ضیاء کرے وہ   نکھد خار خس ہی اُگاتی ہے۔

نکهد یعنی ردی اور گھٹیا چیز۔

قرآن کی رحمت بھی سب کے لئے یکساں ہے۔ اچھی زمین کی طرح شکر گزار بندے ہی قرآن سے فائدہ اٹھاتے ہیں، جو صرف رہنمائی نہ ملنے پر اپنی صلاحیتیں دبے ہوئے تھے رہنمائی ملنے پر اپنے اور دوسروں کے لیے خیر بن جاتے ہیں۔ اس کے برعکس  شریر لوگ باران رحمت ملنے پر اپنے اندر چھپے زہریلے شکوک ظاہر کرتے ہیں جو نقصاندہ ہوتے ہے۔

بارش کی مثال سے اللہ ان چیزوں کو واضح کر رہا ہے : توحید ، قیامت، رسول کی بعثت، ہدایت ضلالت میں اللہ کی سنت۔

تصرف یعنی گردش کرنا۔ کائنات میں ہواؤں کی گردش سے اللہ کی قدرت کے کئی کام ہوتے ہے۔ اسی طرح  قرآن کی آیات انسان  کے سامنے سے گذرنے پر زندگی بدلتی ہے۔ اس پر لوگو کو اللہ کا شکر کرنا چاہیے۔ بارش مردہ زمین کو زندہ کرتی ہیں ، انسان کو اللہ کا کلام زندہ کرتا ہے ،پس شکر کرنے والے دل ہو ، اور شکر کا پودا پاکیزہ دل ہی میں اُگتا ہے۔

حدیث میں آیا ہے نبیﷺ فرماتے ہیں اللہ مجھے جو علم دےکر بھیجا ہے اس کی مثال ایسی ہے جب بارش ہو ،جو زمین زرخیز ہو خوب نباتات اگاتی ہے، کوئی زمین پانی روکتی ہے اور لوگ اس پانی کا استعمال کرتے ہیں۔ کوئی زمین چٹیل ہوتی ہے جو نہ روکتی ہے نہ سبز اگاتی ہے۔ پس جو دین کی سمجھ حاصل کرے وہ سیکھے اور دوسروں کو سکھائیں۔ بُخاری، مسلم

اس حدیث میں ،  قرآن: بارش ، فقہاء: سرسبز زمین ، محدث: پانی جمع کرنے والی ، کفار منافق: چٹیل زمین سے مشابہت دی گئی۔ ابن کثیر

ہر زمانے میں نبی کی بعثت کے بعد انسانیت دو حصّوں میں بٹ گئے، اس کسوٹی سے خبیث پھینک دئیے گئے جس طرح سنار سونا چاندی کی کھوٹ چھانٹ پھینکتا ہے۔

انسان مومن بنکر دنیا میں آیا ، چونکہ اپنا سبق بار بار بھول جاتا ہے، اسے توبہ کی توفیق دی گئی تاکہ شکر گزار بنے۔
