 Quran & Messenger

By Um Abdullah

People of the Book! Now Our Messenger has come to you: he makes clear to you a good many things of the Book which you were wont to conceal, and also passes over many things. There has now come to you a light from Allah, and a clear Book. (5:15)

It is impossible for the Prophet to read the Torah and the Gospel to find out those things, he had no source of knowledge except the Divine. The commandments which Jews and Christians used to hide in their books.

The Christians changed the faith of monotheism and the Jews hid the Shariah rules: prohibition of usury, رجم punishment for adultery, hunting on the Sabbath, and even the tidings of the last Prophet which  Prophet revealed, which was necessary to establish religion. The Prophet used to hide many of your mistakes and betrayals, if he had revealed your faults, it would have been a shame for you.

Through Prophet we received the holy Qur'an. Which made it easier to get out of the darkness and come to the right path and to obtain the rewards of Allah and avoid the punishments.

When the Messenger was sent to the Ummi Arabs, in a short period of time, the Arabs excelled in knowledge, beliefs, life system, law, morals, and society. By the grace of Allah they received the religion of Islam and got a high position.

Allah sent the Prophet as a light of guidance.

Some commentators have interpreted Noor as Qur'an, some commentators have interpreted it as Prophet and others have interpreted it as Islam.

Because the Prophet calls people from darkness to light.

It is narrated from Imam Abu Bakr that Hazrat Aisha رض said that the face of the Prophet was the most beautiful and the fairest in color among people, whoever described the beauty of him compared it to the fourteenth moon, his face was radiant and shining like the moon. (beyhaqi)

Hazrat Jabir رض narrates that I saw the Messenger of Allah in a full moon night. Some moments I saw prophet  and later I saw the moon. By God for me, he was more beautiful than the moon. (Tirmidhi)

Imam Tirmidhi narrates that Ibn Abbas رض narrates that there was a gap between the two front teeth of the Prophet and when he spoke, it would appear like light coming out of his front teeth.
