9 :67
At-Taubah 9:67
ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتُ بَعْضُهُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍۚ يَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمُنكَرِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَقْبِضُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْۚ نَسُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَنَسِيَهُمْۗ إِنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ
The hypocrite men and hypocrite women are of one another. They enjoin what is wrong and forbid what is right and close their hands.[1] They have forgotten Allāh, so He has forgotten them [accordingly]. Indeed, the hypocrites - it is they who are the defiantly disobedient.
Translation:
Hypocrites condition is that they keep their hands tied. It means those people forgot Allah, then Allah forgot them. The meaning here is that these people left the commandments of Allah as if they had forgotten, so Allah also left them in the same way in the matter of the reward of the Hereafter. His name was nowhere.
Features of a hypocrites :
This is the common feature of all hypocrites. All of them have an interest in evil and an aversion(dislike) to good. If someone wants to do a bad thing,
Their sympathies,
Their advice,
Their encouragement,
Their trust,
Their recommendations,
Their praises and eulogies will all be devoted to him.
Their heart and soul will participate in this evil work,
They will encourage others to participate in it,
They will increase the courage of the doer, and They will show by their every act that the growth of this evil will lead to some of them.
His heart is relieved and his eyes are cool.
On the contrary, if something good is being done,
They are shocked by the news of it,
Their heart aches at the thought of it,
They do not care about even its suggestion, and When they see someone moving towards it, Their hearts ache.
The soul becomes restless.
They put obstacles in his way in every possible way and try with every strategy to somehow prevent him from this good deed, and if he does not stop, they make them at least cannot able to succeed in his work.
Also, the common feature of all of them is that their hands are never open to spend in good deeds.
Whether they are misers or big spenders,
Their money is only for safes or it comes from forbidden paths and it goes only in forbidden paths. For evil, even if they are the masters of their time, but for goodness, no one is more destitute than them.
